In 2012, monsoon flooding continued to be a recurring problem in Sindh and Balochistan, affecting the lives of 4.5 million people. Additionally, deforestation along the coastal areas of Sindh was leading to sea intrusion and the destruction of arable land, forcing local communities to migrate. Disturbingly, reports indicated that by 2050, cities like Thatta and Badin in Sindh might be submerged in the sea, resulting in a significant internal displacement crisis for climate victims. Furthermore, drought and water shortages were contributing factors to climate-induced migration, particularly in Balochistan and Sindh.
