Sindh province has a history of recurring droughts, including 1968-69, 1971-74, 1985-87, and 1999-2002, leading to crop and livestock damage, ecosystem degradation, and mass migrations. The devastating floods of 2010-11 resulted in casualties and internal displacement, exacerbated by inadequate disaster preparedness. These crises impact daily life, health, livelihoods, and global food security due to agriculture disruptions. In line with national policies and climate change goals, the Sindh Climate Change Policy 2022 aims to create a comprehensive implementation plan involving UN agency, NGOs, development partners, and corporations. This plan seeks to ensure a climate-friendly environment and a better future for Sindh's residents.
