In Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority has asked the highest court in Pakistan to demolish squatter settlements known as "katchi abadis," where many Christians live. In their court submission, the authority referred to the Christian residents as unskilled and unproductive "land grabbers" who have created unsightly villages in the picturesque Islamabad, considered one of the world's most beautiful cities. Consequently, Christians in these settlements are now facing the threat of eviction from their homes.
